About Darryl Gurney
Darryl became a Registered Massage Therapist in 1986, after graduating from the Sutherland and Chan School of Massage. He was in private practice for one year before becoming the Sports Massage Therapist for the Philadelphia Flyer Hockey Team. After two years in Philadelphia, Darryl then moved to Canada and set up a private practice in Kitchener, Waterloo.
Darryl then attended several courses at Tom Brown’s Tracker School, studying outdoor wilderness survival skills and Native American spirituality, philosophy and healing. He also deepened his massage skills with four levels of the St. John method of neuromuscular therapy, and completed his touch for health levels 1, 2 and 3. This is where he developed the muscle testing skills, which he employs extensively in his practice.

In 1996, Darryl became interested in Holoenergetics, and for the next couple of years studied with Dr. Leonard Laskow in California and Hawaii. Darryl has since become both the certified practitioner and teacher of this method of mind body therapy. During the same years Darryl completed levels 1 and 2 of Voice Dialogue Training with founders Hal and Sidra Stone, in Northern California.
Darryl has also received professional training in past life regression therapy, from the Weiss Institute in Miami Florida and in Body Psychotherapy, from the Institute of Human Touch in Toronto, Ontario.
